We cater for all manner of other events so feel free to contact us regardless of your event type.
A popular exampled of a themed costume party would be a "Gangsters and Molls" Party harking back to 1920s-1940s and the days of the Charleston. A live band playing music from that era with growling trumpet and sultry sax is the best way to set the scene and transport your guests back in time. The Atlantic Street Band are our most requested band for these kind of events.
Our bands often play at milestone birthdays such as 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, and one client booked us to play at her grandmother's 80th birthday to rave reviews from the "birthday girl" and her friends. Browse our Audio/Visual section to find a group to your liking. Our most versatile party band is the Atlantic Street Band which can cater to all ages including classic jazz songs and jazzy versions of modern songs such as "Hey Ya!", "Single Ladies", etc for younger crowds.
If you, your parents, or even your Grandparents have a milestone anniversary party coming up we have some great bands available to suit everyone's taste. A lot of our bands choose from jazz repertoire that was popular in the day of our own Grandparents and we play to a lot of audiences in the more mature age bracket.
Two of our most popular choices for anniversary parties are the Atlantic Street Band and the Cocktail Society Traditional Dixieland Jazz Band
Of course we play at a lot of weddings, but we've also played at many backyard engagement parties. Due to the more relaxed atmosphere of most engagement parties it's often nice to have one of our smaller groups playing for 2 or 3 hours to set the mood. Contact us for a quote.
We've played at two Christening parties to date and we will consider playing at any kind of celebration or occasion that calls for live music. We've played at several wakes where the dearly departed were fans of jazz and their family thought it appropriate to have a jazz band play while they shared refreshments and celebrated the life of their loved one.
Royal Shows, business awards dinners, council fairs, wine and music festivals, and horse races are just a few examples of events where our artists have performed.
A traditional Dixieland Jazz quartet brings smiles to the faces of the young and young at heart while a smooth modern jazz quintet provides the perfect accompaniment to a glass of wine.
Our versatile, Conservatory trained professional musicians are proficient in many styles, so don't hesitate to enquire about any genre of music. We also have groups with a substantial repertoire including children's favourites such as "Bananas In Pajamas".
